Hi,
I am having my first gaming PC built.
I want to be able to play all kinds of games but I am new to video games (my brother just game me DIABLO III and FAR CRY 3, and I like CRYSIS 3 in demo) but I plan to mostly use my set up for flight simulation, thus the need/want for a 3-monitor setup.

The build comes with a GTX 770 2GB.
My other choice is the GTX 780 3GB.
Though not available as an option, I like the GTX 770 4GB which may fix my conundrum (Maybe I should get the build with no graphic card then buy the GTX 770 4GB? Not sure if it is even possible with this builder)...

Right now I have a single 27" monitor (2560 x 1440): Would the GTX 770 2G be sufficient for now?
In the next few months, when I add 2 monitors of the same type to my set up (I guess that would be 7680 x 4320?!?), would the GTX 770 2GB be sufficient, if only for flight simulation?

Should I get the GTX 780 3GB instead? How does it compare with the GTX 770 4GB for my needs?

I understand that because of my 3-monitors setup, the VRAM size may be my greater concern; but when adding the consideration of speed and FPS while playing games, am I better off with a GTX 780 3GB? Would a GTX 770 4GB SLI change your choice?
Anything I am forgetting to consider? Sorry for the long-winded question.

Thanks for any reply.

My (future) build:

The 780 is 60-70% more expensive than the 770. Yet it's performance is only 10-20% better.
In Far Cry 3 it can give you 58 fps instead of 50, in Bf3 136 fps instead of 126.
See for yourself: http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-780-vs-GeForce-GTX-770

That's a really poor value for money over the GTX 770, if you ask me. But of course, if the cost doesn't matter, it is a faster card in absolute terms. It's just not "way ahead" in any real-world comparison.

In a triple-monitor setup it of course benefits from the 3GB of VRAM, but there are other cards out there with 3-4GB of VRAM that don't cost as much. The GTX 770 4GB is by far the better deal here. You would save around $250 which means you can upgrade that much sooner when the need for a faster card than the GTX 770 arises. By then you'll get more than 10% performance increase by upgrading, likely without having to pay a dollar extra.

Thanks.
I agree that the GTX 770 4GB is a better choice for my needs but the builder I am using does not offer it. So I looked around, thought about getting the GTX 770 4GB myself... but I decided to go with the easier choice i.e the GTX 780 3GB. Thanks again.

hell yh! tho i personally would choose the i53570k /i54670k over that (as it doesnt need as much wattage, 8350=125W i5 3570k=77W) but its an awesome build!
