Hey guys, I am currently looking to upgrade my old computer

My rig:

i5 760 2.8 (OC to 3.6)
ASUS P7P55D EVO
Corsair 600T midtower
MSI gtx 770 Lightning (just got it)
Seasonic 750W Gold
Corsair XMS3 8GB
ASUS P7P55D EVO
Corsair H50
Samsung 500gb HDD
Samsung 250gb SSD

I am looking to upgrade my cpu, motherboard, psu, and one more gtx770.

Here's what I am planning to get.

CPU - i5 4670k (planning to OC)
GPU- gtx 770 for SLI
PSU- Seasonic x series x-850W Gold
MOBO- MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming LGA 1150
Corsair h100i

I am a casual gamer (bf3, bf4 soon, crysis 3, metro..)

Will 850w be enough for gtx 770 SLI?
Also, can you guys check if all the parts are compatible as I am novice pc builder.

Thanks!

1- 850 watts is perfect for GTX 770 in SLI , but if you plan later on a third card in SLI , then get 1100-1200 Watts Power supply .. for future proof.
2-get the Swiftech H220 it is the best of those kinds today http://www.swiftech.com/H220.aspx way better than corsair.
3-get a motherboard with very good sound quality on board , and that takes 3 SLI at least.... it makes a difference.

I will research for you .. brb

lol it is hard to get all 1200 watt , Good mobo , GTX 770 , and the cpu below 1250 $ :)

so I guess must rethink the items :) and forget about 3x SLI ...

Guys, I don't think much will be gained by going 3-way SLI except bragging rights.
I'm running 2-way with 2 EVGA 660 SC cards, and a couple nights ago FRAPS showed an average of 113.++ FPS with a low of 40 in BF3 on Ultra. It really doesn't get much smoother than that.
So, if you drop one 770 (just buy one additional card) can you fit the $1000 budget?

Here you go! Changed the Seasonic PSU to XFX; XFX uses only Seasonic to build their PSU's. Check it out on johnnyguru.com.

$1065 --- pretty close to your estimated budget
A single GTX 770 requires a min. 600W PSU with 42 amps on the 12V, and if I remember someone's previous post 2 or them
need about 60 amps. The 850 has 70A so should run your set up just fine.

.....

you said this

sure sounds good, take you time

why didnt you tell me you dont want 3 way SLI and 1200 power ?

I am out. you wasted my time.

Sorry the link didn't work; probably cause I don't have an online web acct.
You can go there yourself and just enter the new parts you want/need (mobo, cpu, psu, video card, ?cooler[don't recall if I put that in or not] ).
RE. your current PSU working with SLI'd 770's, I am looking into that. I have requested some input from another forum member so may take a little while.

thank you!

Well, it doesn't look like there will be enough amperage from your 750, so the 850 may have to be purchased; this from another thread I was following. I am still waiting for a reply from the other forum guy who is a PSU Master.
if you can hold off just a bit more, hopefully we'll have an answer.

O.k. final shot.
From another post and and a power supply master:

For a system using two GeForce GTX 770 graphics cards in 2-way SLI mode NVIDIA specifies a minimum of a 850 Watt or greater system power supply that has a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 62 Amps or greater and that has at least two 6-pin and two 8-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.

According to the specs. for your 750 it has a maximum of 62amps on the 12v; you could probably run SLI, but you would have NO headroom provisioning for heat, other programs or hardware, or automatic OC by the cpu.
I would spend the money on the 850.
