Should I dedicate a card for PhysX?

Hey All,
About half a year back I made a new build with these parts:
Intel Core i3 2100
Asus p8Z77-LK
EVGA GTX 650
WD Blue 500GB SATA 6.0
Corsait CX430

Just last week I found my old EVGA 9600 GSO

and I was wondering if I could somehow put some use to it.
I remembered an article talking about how I could use the card for PhysX or something but I have no idea how to do so.
Should I pop the card into my system and try it out?

Yep, exactly, but first make sure you are playing GPU-accelerated PhysX games. If so, play the game and test your FPS, install the 9600, configure the Nvidia Control Panel PhysX setting, and then test to see what kind of performance increase you get, if any.

Currently Borderlands 2, Metro, and Alice.
I just had the 9600 laying around and didn't want it to collect dust so I wanted to do something with it.

Oh yeah, definitely give it a try and report back with your findings. In addition to performance, it would be nice to see if the additional heat, power consumption, and noise are issues.

In terms of power consumption, I hope you have a PSU capable of running two cards.
