I'm currently running an Intel i5 2500K 3.3GHz(3.7GHz Turbo). I had the Stock HS fan on it up until about a month ago when I replaced it for a Corsair H55 Cooler because the Stock HS was letting the CPU idle at 60 C, and get to around 76 C under medium loads.
Now, it doesn't exceed 46 C, but it doesn't seem to be running like it did before. I remember at one point I could have 4-5 VM's running, or play a game while it was defragging or running AVG without any noticeable lag, or stream at 1080p with no lag. Today, I tried to scan with AVG while playing a game, and it was reading all 4 cores running at 95% or more.
Anyone know what could be causing this? Did I maybe burn it out by running it too hot, or is it just getting old(Is it because electronics don't work as well when cool?)
-Thanks!
