The temperature difference between them shouldn't be noticeable as long as your buy a good aftermarket cooler.

The 7970 is more of a contender with the 680/770, so unless you plan on a dual-card config in the future, then go for the 7970. However, the 7970 is similarly priced to the new GTX 770, which outperform the 7970. I would go with the 770 :)

Yeg the gtx 770 is cheaper then the 7970 but will a 770 bottleneck a amd fx-4350 4.2 cpu??

You will undergo a bottleneck, but I wouldn't say it would be one that you'll notice all that much. Just overclock the crap out of your CPU until you can afford an upgrade. :)

would a 7970 bottleneck it and what cpu would u suggest an I5 3570k amd fx-6350??

Any Ivy Bridge or Haswell i5 will be a great choice :D

They are close but the 7970 is better.

But right now the GTX770 is the best value.
Cheaper and a bit stronger.

Your CPU will bottleneck all three cards about equally.

just how much of a bottlneck would it be??

I don't expect you'd lose out on too much performance. No one can say how much of a bottleneck you would face, but I'd be willing to bet you can play every game there is on at least high settings.

As far as the bottleneck goes, it is highly dependent on the game.

On CPU bound games it could be significant but on GPU bound games it won't be very much.

Sorry no offense. Just I have never liked black eye makeup.

You may see dips in to the 20s as far as framerate goes. Usually CPU bottlenecks display them selves as sharp dips in framerate in certain situations.

Multiplayer games would be more likely to experience this.

will i get alot of bottlneck of bf3??
July 24, 2013 2:06:54 PM

I wouldn't say the bottleneck would be bad in BF3 at all - it's very GPU dependent. I reckon you could get ultra on BF3 - even the 7870 can do that!

I'd say a 7970 (specially the GHZ) and yes there might be small bottleneck with your current cpu but it's not that big to make you play worse. but I do agre the 770 is a better option but if you can't afford going both gpu + cpu + mobo (if you go to the i5) then I suggest enjoy the 7970/770 and just upgrade a few months later specially if you own a lower level gpu.

The 7970 is better, hands down! It even beats the GTX 680 and judging by what tomshardware says: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-car... , HD 7970 GHz is on one level with GTX 780, GTX 590 and HD 6990 which are way, way above what GTX 670 can ever dream of. In the list, you can find that GTX 670 has similar performance to HD 7870 XT, so you mustn't think any farther, just grab yourself a 7970 or a 7970 GHz and you can be 100% sure that what you've chosen is better than GTX 670.
