Hey guys so my 6950 died on me so i'm currently using a 4890 at the moment hah... I currently have the 990fx sabertooth rev 2.0 and a bulldozer 8 core clocked to 5Ghz with my watercooling loop, i have 4 gb of ram 1600Mhz,
and I've been searching the web for a heir to sit the PCI throne.

I came across this dilemma:

apparently the 660ti is similar if not sometimes abit better by a few FPS and sometimes a bit slower in the same margin than that of the 7950.

Now I've always been a fan of AMD and have always had an AMD card however:

The same ASUS style for the 7950 is £271 whilst the 660 TI ASUS is only £189...

or there is the sapphire 7950 for £229

I am totally baffled and I am hearing mixed vibes about both cards and would like to get a chat going to maybe sway me in either direction as the benchmarks ive seen aren't really posing much bias to either cards, id like to hear some personal experiences.

Thanks as always.

Also just thought id add that the new consoles will be using AMD GPU's so im assuming that games that are released will have better coding and more support for the AMD series cards as opposed to the Nvidia ones

This is totally my dilemma ha, i mean the 6950 was adequate for me and the 660 ti would be an upgrade of quite a lot.
but im unsure about the future proofing of the 660...

idk if its worth to wait for the 8xxx series .. i mean u can do it but if u really need the card right now then go get it dont wait for anything u wont regret . Plus the 8xxx will be way overpriced i belive and if im correct u will be able to get something like a HD8870 that maybe will be ecual to a 7950 at the price of a 7950 . ( lol dont take me too serious here im just guessing )
