I have a dell optiplex 745 with intel pentium D and sticker says windows xp.
I want to instal windows 7 on it, i turn it on, put disc in, turn off, turn on, Boot Device Menu, CD ROM, and 5-10 seconds it says boot device not available. i have tried windows 7 starter and ultimate, both have the same failures.
Yes i am sure the discs are bootable, The win starter is 32bit, and the ultimate should work for both 64bit and 32bit
What i suspect is that the processor Pentium D is not compatible with win. 7.
I think i have 3gbs of ram, or if the upgrade didnt work, i have 1gb of ram.
