This is my first PC build and I've been consulting a few friends and scrutinizing specs for hours now. I've actually learned quite a bit simply by pursuing tangent questions that pop into my mind as I look over specs.
My goal is to be able to record and stream games such as Starcraft and Dota. I'll also be doing some video editing, 3D modeling and I'll quite possibly be hooking this thing up to my TV for movies and such. Here is what I've come up with.
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
Cooler: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 45.0 CFM Fluid Dynamic Bearing CPU Cooler
Motherboard: ASRock H77 Pro4-M Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard
Memory: (x2) Corsair 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB Video Card
Case: NZXT Tempest 210 ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 500W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V Power Supply
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B3ST/BLK/G/AS DVD/CD Writer
Total cost right now comes to $680 including shipping.
I'm not particularly hardware savvy, but I've been lurking here for a bit. I'm here to learn and open to any knowledge you may be able to impart. Thanks!
EDIT: My budget for this is $850 so if you have any suggestions that would make drastic improvements to the quality of the build for the cost, feel free to make them! Thanks.
