First things first: I am a complete newbie to computer building. This will be my first rig ever to be made! I've spent a good amount of time deciding on my priorities.

Mainly, I want this to be a gaming build. One that plays modern games and future games at respectable perf (30+ fps) on med-high settings on 1080p or lower maybe.

I want this dude to be small :D My brother recently built a hackintosh with a bitfenix prodigy and I was really diggin the 'smallish' size. I think I'd like a rig
as big as that or smaller so I can easily take it to LAN parties.

My budget for the chassis/components is roughly $700.

I've created a list of parts (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1kINC) that I thought would do the above tasks. I realize that there is an incompatibility with this build due to the wireless adapter and GPU needing PCI express slots while the mobo only
has one. So if anyone can suggest a different mobo/approach then that would be very helpful.

Can anyone weigh in on if that 3220 I picked will be sufficient in my desires? Or should I up my budget and get a better quad core? i really dont know.

Also, this is my first post on this forum i believe. So I apologize if this is in the wrong area or whatever!

Thanks for the help

lol your mini itx mobo has only one slot and you will use it for the Graphic card.

your best choice is to buy ta Mother board WITH WIFI ..

this one is your best choice

the ASUS is better but at 140$

Any reason why the ASUS is better than the gigabyte? If it pertains to my gaming needs than i could see myself spending the extra 40 for it :)

The Asus is made for Overclocking , the Gigabyte not.
Asus has a/b/g/n wifi , gigabyte only b/g/n
Asus has Intel Lan , Gigaybyte realtek lan

Gigabyte has 2x LAN , Asus only one
Gigabyte has WIDI , Asus NOT

and if you move to Haswell + Z87 mini itx i guess is better for you. but not a must :)

here are the two motherboards :

1- Asus : http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8Z77I_DELUXE/#overview

2- Gigabyte : http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4337#sp

but if You ask me , put 40$ in CPU and get a better i5 cpu :) with Haswell + Z87
