My GPU is dying after some 2 years of usage. It crashes randomly and I've plenty of times forgot to turn my fan on, which has probably damaged it a bit. MSI Kombustor doesn't make it crash, though it crashes a lot on my desktop--even when I use my WinXP theme on Win7 for minimum resource usage.

Anyway, I want to upgrade but am not sure what the cheapest upgrade is.
The GTX560 was removed from the market long ago, and most retailers only sell the 700 series and around there.

Anyone got any suggestions? The GPU must be superior to this I linked.

Quick edit, I have a Gigabyte Z77-DS3H
i5 core,
8gb of ram,
and 600W power supply of good quality.

whats your budget?from GF GTX 600 series, any card over GT 650Ti will outperform it. and the cheapest of the 700 series is GTX760 which costs about 250$. another alternative from AMD is radeon HD 7790.

no 7750 is proably equal to GT 640 maybe GTX 650. so 7750 is probably slightly better than GTX 560.

EDIT: oops i guess your right 7750 is quite slower than GTX 560, i guess i underestimated the card :D

See here 560 is placed with 650ti. 7750 is in same tier as gtx 260 and 650 and 640 is way below with 9800gt

Forgot to add that it must be below 178.05 US Dollar (dollar conversion output).
I'll do some research on my own--most of the cards that I would buy have been taken down the store shelves and replaced with expensive cards I cannot afford. .. but I really need my GPU replaced so I'll have to compensate somehow

I think I am going with the GTX 650TI. Will, of course, have to see if it is compatible.

Can anyone please explain why most of the 600 series GPUs are so extremely small??
