I have been in mental health for the past 17 years and am about to prepare for the tech industry. I have been looking at schools such as ITT and DeVry. Are these schools worth getting an education at as they are for profit schools? I wish to get a really good job and do not know how employers will react to people who graduated from these schools VS state colleges.

What do you mean by tech? Tech encompasses so much: IT support, software engineering, hardware design, etc... each requires a different sort of degree.

How much can you set aside for college? If you are tight on cash and time, just want a quick job out of work, ITT and Devry are ok.

If you can spare 4 years and have ~100k to spend on a state college, you will be in a far better position. Your career growth prospects with a CS/EECE degree from a state college will be better. College is a way better investment than ITT or Devry
