Pocket router for home desktop.

Can I use a pocket router for my home desktop? I only see people use them for their laptop. So is it possible to use that thumbdrive looking router and connect it to my modem? It's kind of a budget issue and I don't know much about computers.

If you mean 3G/4G routers , the answer is yes.

how to connect? there are 2 types .. USB ones , you just plug them into your PC ..

and Wifi , called MIFI ones , you will need a wifi card in your PC.

but this is no way a budget solution , 3G/4G internet is expensive .. unlike DSL or Cable
