By answering a few questions I can easily help you out:

1) What brand do you plan on going for your CPU? (AMD, Intel)
a) What CPU do you plan on getting?

2) Do you plan on using dedicated graphics?
a) Do you plan on taking advantage of Crossfire/SLI?

3) What is your main purpose for this build?

4) Do you own any parts that you would like t use for this build?

Thanks

Id say amd fx-6300 I dont have a budget because it is not a buy all the parts now build but i want to keep it kind of cheap.

Yes dedicated I dont know about the crossfire or sli I guess which ever would give me the best proformance for the price.

Gaming and watching movies pretty much.

Nothing really I have a 350g hard drive on my optiplex 520 i guess i could replace it last and get it up and running faster..

Thank you very much eyedeology

With the FX6300, you have plenty of motherboard options. You can find many good boards for under 100USD such as:

ASRock-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157394
Asus-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131872
Gigabyte-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128602

These three boards all feature the exact same things, only differences being brands. With the brands being different, each board will have its own unique features that the company has applied to them. The only things these boards lack is SLI support and USB 3.0 headers. This means you will be unable to use multiple nVidia cards in SLI, but you will be able to use Radeon cards in Crossfire. Also, it will be impossible to take advantage of USB 3.0 slots on the front of your case without an adapter of some sort.

If not having the 3.0 headers is a deal breaker, all 3 companies offer an upgraded version of the previously listed boards that support USB 3.0 headers for only 15USD more. These upgraded boards also offer support for nVidia SLI.

ASRock-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157262&Tpk=asrock%20970%20extreme4
Asus-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131873
[strike]Gigabyte-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131873[/strike]

Hope this helps and if you have any more questions or want to know any more about the boards, OR are looking to get a higher grade board, feel free to ask!

EDIT: It appears the second Gigabyte and Asus boards I listed do not support SLI. The ASRock does, though. My bad!

16gb can be justified I suppose, but 32gb is absolutely overkill.

If you only plan on gaming and you're not doing any extreme editing etc. on the side, stick with 8gb. Absolutely no need for more.
