Two 780's is your best bet and even with that most games won't run maxed at that resolution. You're going to need the 4GB cards, definitely, and probably a 1000W power supply.

It doesn't make sense to have twice as much money in monitors than PC, sure the monitors will run but you won't get any games to.

2 x GTX 780 maxed out = 500W. That is ~42A on the +12V rails just for the cards alone. Before O/C'ing them. Although, I would be unsure that the GTX 770s wouldn't be enough at 4GB VRAM each. They might just do it. But that is a huge amount of pixel/texels to render per frame.

Three way SLI with weaker cards might be an option. Either way you are talking lots o' $$$$

Do you think a 750w option would be best for this setup?

For 2 x GTX 780 @ SLI? Marginal. I'd feel more comfortable with 800W+ personally. Heck, I have an 850W for my 2 x GTX 660 OC cards. I am a bit of a power freak when it comes to PSUs.

Hey I agree but you kinda suggested that the cards only use 500W, so you agree that either http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=120-G2-1000-XR OR http://www.corsair.com/us/power-supply-units/tx-series-power-supply-units/tx-series-modular-tx850m-80-plus-bronze-certified-850-watt-high-performance-modular-power-supply.html OR http://www.corsair.com/us/power-supply-units/hx-series-power-supply-units/hx-series-hx1050-power-supply-1050-watt-80-plus-gold-certified-modular-psu.html are all good?

This sure is getting expensive. The monitors cost 1200 Dollars, if you get them cheap, Graphics 1200 and Powersupply about 200. Can we please get a budget and maybe recommend one 1440p monitor or 3 1080p monitors.

Heck yeah! Good PSU choices. I know I'm being a bit overboard. In all honesty, I doubt a good quality 750W PSU would have a problem with 2 x GTX 780s depending on the rest of the system. That's the trouble... one doesn't know the other +12V stuff in the system. But the card is the biggest power hog followed by the older hotter CPUs. Then water pumps, drives, etc.

This is why I'm going nowhere near 1440p for the foreseeable future, 1080p will do just fine thank you.

That option no longer appears to be in my Forum Settings or Account Settings.

(Sorry, don't mean to hi-jack this thread. Just wanted to see if others had this issue)

The PNY cards are terrible. It's worth a couple extra bucks on EVGA's ACX 770's but you're gonna need extra memory bandwidth (4GB) to push that resolution constant.

Also why is Nvidia surround so important to you? It cost a lot to run, minimum you're looking at is two grand right now. Monitors cheapest 600, Graphics cheapest 800, PSU cheapest 200 and don't forget desk space, mounting, power and other things, around another 300 at the cheapest, so that comes to 1900 Dollars on the low-end. And if you don't game constantly, three monitors can get annoying.

May I recommend a single card and 120Hz monitor or 1440p Monitor? Your looking to spend half as much for high-end single monitor gaming than low-end multi-monitor gaming.
