52inch tv as monitor

My 52inch plasma resolution only goes upto 1280x720 native resolution and wanted to know if i change my resolution on my pc to 1980x1080 would it harm both tv or pc as it wont be set at native

It won't harm anything, but if you upscale the res it's pretty ugly and on a TV, colors aren't great upscaled either.

For gaming the best monitor would be 1080p and more than 60Hz, this one for example is 144Hz

Its going to look really washed out and granular on a TV that big, with that resolution. But its worth a try, might be pretty fun for some games. Minecraft is amazing on a huge TV
