[SOLVED] PowerPC Mac Mini OSX 10.5

I've got one of these gems, and I just wondered if you guys have any ideas to make it run faster? I'd appreciate any help with anything related to these things and getting them as current as possible/ and/or uses of them in particular. One just fell into my lap.

Install Mac OS X 10.4.11 It's leaner, use less CPU and memory.
And 10.5 is not really optimised for PowerPC being first release for intel times from the beginning.

Of course you'll have to deal with less integrated features like Time Machine for example and with restricted support by 3rd party software. But it will be faster.

Much faster. I have one of these Mac Minis and it is almost unusable with 10.5.

I'm afraid these machines are really rather dated,mand most useful if you want to play around with PPC programming. Linux is also a possibility.
