Ati Radeon HD 5670 & A8N5X Motherboard

Hey guys can you help me with something please?

I wonder if this graphic card will work with my current system :

Amd Athlon 64 3000+ 1,81GHZ 1,4V SOCKET 939
1,5GB DDR1 RAM 200MHZ
Asus A8N5X nForce4 Chipset with PCI-E SLOT X16 (PCI-EXPRESS)
350W PSU

Even if the PSU is not enough my friend told me it wont fry my pc or something but it will bottleneck.I just want to buy this GPU because its verry good and i can buy a better PSU later.And another thing:if the GPU requires PCIE 2.1 and I have 2.0 will it also work? Thanks

Yes even if your mobo has PCI-E 2.0 slot it will work. But the thing is HD 5670 graphics card need a bit more power so you have to upgrade your PSU before buying that card. I own a HD 5570 which is weaker than your one but it was not working when I checked with my old unbranded 450W PSU (china) .. then I bought a coolermaster extreme power plus 500W PSU and it started to work like a charm.
And the thing is I don't recommend you to buy a expensive PSU for that very old system so it's better to stay with your current VGA or going with something like low end HD 5450 or nvidia GT 520.. otherwise it is better to buy a new system.
