processors naming conventions

Intel second generation processor contain 2 . third generation contains 3 and 4th generation contains 4th at first in processor model number. But how we can identify intel first generation processors? what number they contain ?

They only have 3 digits in the number so its like the 2,3 or 4 is just missing.

Thanks its really helpful for me, can you please further elaborate whats the name of first generation of Intel core i series processors and how many architecture first generation have? does the die size and transistor size remains the same through out all architecture of first generation processors.
