Hello, I have an Asus M5A99FX pro r2.o and something strange happens when I look at CPUID and Speedfan.
On CPUID it says that my TMPIN2 is at 128C, which is the north bridge.
But then on Speed fan something entirely different happened. It said that the TEMP 3, which is most likely the north bridge because that reads -128C. That´s right, negative 128C.
What is hell is happening?

Thats normal. Normal as in thats just a sensor error. CPUID and Speedfan are known to have this problem with the northbridge sensors. A lot of people have reported the same exact thing you have, TMPIN2 reporting at 128c. Trust me if it was really that hot, your motherboard would be toast lol. Nothing to worry about, Your PC would start shutting itself down at that point anyway if it was really that hot.

Is there any software that are more reliable.

core temp/ real temp/ hwmonitor all tend to give similar readings. speed fan on the other hand can somtimes get it wrong. if i oc my 920 it shows up 10'c hotter than it actually is. i set it to stock and it reads the temp fine.
so its not just your system.

Yeah like HEXiT said, core temp, real temp work pretty good.
