Need monitor help for new computer build

I'm about to be purchasing all the parts to build my first computer with te help of a friend. I am trying to decide between a monitor and am having some trouble. My current build includes a single GTX 770 but I am not sure wether i should get a 1440p monitor or not. If I got a 1440p monitor I would upgrade it to SLI in about 2-3 months from now. I will be using it to watch movies and play all different genres of games. Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  1. A GTX 770 should easily handle a 1440p monitor no problems. Just look at the benchmarks.

Mind giving me a link? All the ones I have seen show kind of low frame rates.

Ignore the typo. I think its supposed to say 2560x1600 not 1200. It says 1600 on the other pages.
