nvidia graphics card causing problems

Hola everyone! So I recently installed a new graphics card (ASUS 2GB GDDR5 GTX650-E-2GD5) and power supply (600w) into my desktop (hp p7-1054) and despite being better than my old hardware I've run into nothing but problems. Horizontal lines on higher setting, micro stutter, short one second freezes accompanied by an alert beep (even out of games). I thought it might be an incompatibility between the ATI drivers with the embedded motherboard card and the new nvidia drivers, but the problem is stilll there after deleting all the ATI catalyst stuff. Considering buying an old ATI card, but idk. Any ideas?

Try to backup and do a clean install of OS. Then install the latest driver for GPU. See how it works.
