Recovery Management- Gateway SBX2110G

Hello all,

After purchasing this PC last month, I wanted to create recovery disks from Recovery Management. One of the options was to backup your system using blank DVD's. When I insert a blank DVD, I keep getting the message "Please insert a blank DVD". After contacting Gateway support, they are telling me you cannot do it with Windows 8. That doesn't sound right, why would it even give you the option then.

If the program came from them installed under Windows 8, it should work. Ask them how to backup the system to DVD, they may have a new or different software. Maybe it does not and they just have not tested it or did and figured no-one would use that option.
