I am in the process of building a new Haswell (4770k) with ASUS z87 pro
so i was thinking that should i wait a few months for the new AMD Series to
release or Buy a Sapphire 7950 Now (Cannot include a 7970 in my budget).
So What should i do ??

If you have any questions about my usage or any thing else , just ask !

I'm in the same boat as you, was going to buy a 760, but seeing the leaked specs on the 9970 vs 780, there's no reason why the 9000 series won't bet a better choice than the 700 series. I'm guessing the prices will also be very competitive too, I would suggest you wait.

Forget the 760 lol, he'll need something that does everything, DX11.2, next gen games (all optimized for Radeon) wait for the Radeon 9970 or 9950, then decide, trying to make your cash stretch as far as possible here.

The 9000 series is said to come out on the 25th of September. Its supposed to be the card that will take on the gtx titan. If it is going to take on the titan then it should be pretty damn good and maybe a little cheaper to give it a little boost over the titan. I haven't scene any specs or benchmark leaks yet so I ant say it will be better or worse than titan. Thats just a few things to keep in mind. Also don't get it just cause its the newest series of cards, get it cause you think/know it will beat all your other choices.

No, it has been stated that it will be announced 25th September, the launch date is speculated to be October

HD8000 numbering is reserved for mobile, APU iGP and OEM rebranded parts, HD9000 is the GCN 2 architecture and update to the HD7000 sea islands

Personally I would go for a nividia 670 as you can get them for less than £180 which is sooooo cheap at the moment , can't beat that for value ..............I am not a nvidia person usually (I have 2x7950 boost) but its so cheap

All of the cards specs are rumored and they are not confirmed . 7950 is best overclocker , and it can beat 7970 stock and oc too ! Still , if you are not in hurry , just wait for new 9000 GPUs and then decide . One thing to take in mind is that they will be very pricey .

I'm also waiting on the 9000 series cards which looks like a better choice, i will buy a second hand 5770 for now so i can actually play games. I think the Ice Land (9850) will be the one to look out for i read somewhere that its predicted to be 40% faster than its older series 7850 which was fast enough anyway. If the speculation is correct on the 40% percentage increase this will be around the same power as 2 gtx 560ti in sli, which is powerful for a mid range gaming card which will cost around £140-£160 so looking at it from that point of view you will be getting double the amount of power for the same price as as the old gtx 560ti.
