I am currently looking for a GPU that will give me great performance. I was looking at a GTX 780 but it is way too expensive. Then i saw that GTX 760 on SLI actually outperform a GTX 780 quite significantly and it's only $500. I am really interested in going this way since i only game on a 1080p monitor(2GB of VRAM is enough) The thing is... I used to run a 7870 CrossfireX and it totally sucked, I was getting little to know scaling on games. I read that CrossfireX is pretty bad on multiple GPU's, Is SLI the same? Will I get the dreaded micro stutter? If so I will just wait until AMD releases their Radeon 9000 series on October, the thing is... I won't get a single GPU for $500 that will outperform a GTX 780, and CrossfireX is out of the question! I don't want to deal with it again. Another big thing! My motherboard supports PCI E 2.0 x16 and x8. Will I lose a lot of performance? Is the GTX 760 SLI worth it?

760 is a great GPU, OC's well and among best bang for the buck GPUs out there.....Yes XFire sort of stinks overall, SLI is far better and more mature, plus nVidia keeps their drivers up better...Think you'd be happy w/ it
