Monitor and GPU help!!!

Hey guys. Im building a pc and just ordered my monitor and day or two ago. When I got I noticed It didn't have an hdmi port just VGA and DVI. This monitor has internal speakers as I will be using headphones most of the time and am fine with internal ones. What I'm asking is if I hook up my monitor to my GPU with dvi will the internal speakers still work? Or do I have to RMA? Thanks!

if it has speakers it should have an audio port...

You will have to connect an extra audio cable to the monitor

Thank you for clearing this up as I have had someone tell me it wouldnt work...and real quick dvi and hdmi perform the same, correct?

Basically yes, but you'll need a DVI to HDMI converter to connect a DVI cable to a HDMI port.

Yes I know I have a dvi port on my monitor and gpu so i dont think I will need any converters at the moment
