Ethernet connection issue

My pc was a wired internet connection from day one. one day my pc decided not to recongize a wire, so i bought a wireless card and that works fine. but the internet blows for what i want to do. (gaming) I would just prefer wired internet. I've reset the router/modem still no connection. I went into my device manager and it tell me my ethernet controller and 3 other "controllers" have no drivers found. ive tried searching for the drivers, but still found nothing. Im really against a wall and could really use the help.

If you built this PC, the drivers will be on the motherboard's disk and on the motherboard manufacturer's web site. If you purchased it (Dell, Acer, Gateway,...) then go to the computer manufacturer's web site and download the drivers.

Which drivers would I have to download

It could be listed as network drivers or possibly NIC drivers. Anyhow, it should be pretty obvious as you wouldn't download sound drivers for a network card for example.
