Why not a GTX 760? Cheaper and like 2% better performance.
Also I would go with a better PSU. Seasonic for instance. Thoes fellas are a sure bet always.

You will probably just want aftermarket cooling on CPU and well... ofcurse some fans. The stock coolers on i7's tend to get hot from my experience.

This is also my first time building a pc from all the separate parts, would it be very hard or is it pretty straight forward?

Yes, it seems like a PSU to fit your needs. I am not 100% sure about the watts though. I think you could go with 650 W or so too. No need to pay more for nothing.

Parts seem to be compatible. Mostly it's just the need to watch if the CPU socket is right on mobo and in this case is it.
DDR3 RAM that looks neat and a Seasonic PSU that has some nice 12V rails for your GPU. It looks deecent to me.
I am though unable to help with cases. I have not used many to give advice about it.

Haha, it will be fun but also scary. Prepare like the whole day for it.
Take everything easy, read the manuals !!! I did not and almoust payd for it by inserting a wrong cable to mobo and almoust frying it :D

But if you relax, read the manuals and double check everything you will be fine. And the feel you get after you boot it up and play a game at max FPS for the first time on it... Oh boy..
