Ethernet stopped working after lightning.

I have a Question.Lightning did the same thing to mine. I went with a sub wireless,got connected right away.My question is. how likely will this happen again? And would it not be a wise idea to stick with wireless to prevent this from happening again?.

Yes it is possible that lightning could burn out your Ethernet port.

If you want to be absolutely sure that this doesn't happen, yes wireless can help, but it is still possible for a router to be damaged.
