Hi everyone,
I have the gaming laptop MSI GT70 with a broken graphics card Nvidia GTX 670m 3GB.
Today I bought a new graphics card Nvidia GTX 780m 4GB. But after I installed it the laptop became slow and the resolution became very low, and when I try to install the driver it always says "cannot install the graphics hardware could not find".
In the device manger I found two display adapters:
1- Intel (R) HD Graphics 4000. with yellow logo (on board)
2- Microsoft Basic Display adapter. with yellow logo ( I have no idea about it)

I tried to install it by Driver Genius but I couldn't, I'm sure that I installed the GPU correctly but I have no idea about what's happening.

please anyone help me and thank you.

seems to me something went wrong. Either your laptop isn't powerful enough to power up the gpu or the gpu is damaged either from before or during installation.

the problem you are having is definitely hardware related. Either the new gpu was faulty or the graphic port on the laptop is damaged. Have you tried updating the laptop bios?

have you installed all the drivers from msi. I think there should be a flash utility that has auto update process

Actully I'm following these steps http://www.msi.com/files/pdf/Win8_UEFI_BIOS_Update_auto...
But on #7
7. Under Security tab, look for the option ”Secure Boot” and set it to ”Disabled”
I don't have this option!! so I ignore it and continue and then it starts to load the windows
Thank very much for trying helping me :D

yeah sorry man wish I could do more its just your problem is unprecedented. Also remember its not wise to try changing laptop hardwares on your own since all the OEM motherboards are locked with old hardwares and they dont allow changes in hardwares.

I really didn't think about that before buy it but how about the RAM? Is it easy to upgrade?

it usually is but still try checking with the msi tech support. Send them an email about it they might be able to better answer it. My macbook pro started having all sorts of problems after I changed the rams.
