GPU and monitors bottlenecking

I have about $400 to spend on GPUs at the moment. I will eventually have three 24 inch 1080p monitors. What nvidia card(s) should i get? Two 760s, one 770. I can later upgrade or drop another one in for sli. Also do you think I will stick with triple monitors for very long? Because I've heard that most people sell the monitors and just buy one big 1440p.

I would choose gtx760 sli over gtx770 sli because of its very attractive value

But if you were to get the gtx780 in sli, that would have been the best gpu for triple monitor gaming because of its higher 384bits interface and 3gb vram.

If I were to get two 760s should I get 4gb cards or would 2gb be enough?
