Approximate Purchase Date: Within the next 3 months

Budget Range: $600-$700 after all shipping and rebates

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, writing, surfing the internet.

Are you buying a monitor: Yes. Please include this in the budget

Parts to Upgrade: This will be all from scratch.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes. I would like to use Windows 7

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Micro Center, Newegg, J & R Computer World

Location: New York, NY

Parts Preferences:
CASE: Something on the smaller side with good air flow and dust filters. I saw this one:
Bitfenix Prodigy case $59.99

SSD: Prefer a Samsung. I would like to put my OS on it.

MOBO: I would like something that already comes with the necessary parts to connect to a wireless network

Overclocking: Maybe down the road

SLI or Crossfire: Not Sure

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920 x 1080

Additional Comments: Games I will be playing are Eve Online, Defiance, Far Cry 3, Skyrim, WOW,and DayZ as well as hoping to play upcoming titles Elder Scrolls Online and Titanfall. I also want to be able to run some sort of screenplay writing software (ex: Final Draft).

Thanks for reading my request and I look forward to seeing what you come up with. Any other questions don't hesitate.

This is a great build for a budget. It doesn't include a monitor in the price. However, it won't be an issue because it leaves you approximately $200 for a monitor. Also, he didn't include an optical drive. This shouldn't be a problem anyways because the cheapest (and the most popular) is only less than $20.

I realize that you stated 600-700 budget. This is a build with 24" monitor $817 and also got you a nice combo deal for the Fx-6300 and the 7870 2gb gpu. If you need to shave some money off this build get a cheaper power supply and monitor. I just started looking into building a pc so take my build with caution it could suck. No matter what the "experts" post on here this BioStar mobo @ $55 bucks could be a steal. The review I have read have been dang good. I will personally be trying it and will post a review of my build once I order. It will look a lot like this one.

Thanks you for your thoughts on a build. It gives me a good idea of what I could get if I was able to go a bit higher in budget. I would like to use a different case though. I like the Bitfenix Prodigy. Its small which is really what I am looking for in addition to being easy to pack up and transport. Thanks again for the ideas on a direction I could go in.
