Will DVI-D dual link only allow up to 60hz refresh rate if the monitor is 60hz refresh rate? DVI-D dual link or DVI-D single link?

there is no limit on dvi and dual link dvi. hdmi limits to 60hz though

So if the monitor's refresh rate is 60hz... does that mean with dual link dvi I can go past that....?

NO .. but you can sometimes increase the refresh rate on a monitor beyond it's rated 60hz. ( my asus monitor can do 72hz even though it's advertised 60hz )
