Battlefield 3 only lags on muliplayer?!?

I have not been able to play BF3 without lag up until recently. I upgraded to a gtx 650 and i can do pretty much anything i want to as far as graphics go. I am able to play the singleplayer without problem, but when i play multiplayer i LAG! Its not the same kind of lag. where everything runs slower. the game stutters. ill walk for a little, then while continuing to hold down the walk key, ill freeze, then ill keep walking, then ill freeze. Its really anoying.

hoping theres something that im missing that i can fix easily. knowing my luck, it probably isnt something that i can fix. =P. any help would be appreciated.

I would suggest checking your internet connection. A simple router restart can fix problems. Or if many people are online at the same time in your home, connection speeds will slow down.

It sounds like you either need a new router (old routers will destroy your ping), you need to use a wired connection, or simply wait until no one else is using the internet in your home.
