Hey,

Probably a very stupid question to ask, however all other forum posts are far to complex and im only looking for a simple response as all this

I have a dual band router, and a connection of 10mb (from an internet speed test)

Is the dual band splitting my connection into 2 sets of 10mb ? (therefore on a single band router would be 20mb) or does it work in some other way?

Thanks in advance and if you need any more information from me jus ask :D!

Regards

the max internet speed is 10Mb/s

it does not matter if you have single or dual band it will stay 10Mb/s

all Dual band does is allow you to connect some wireless devices vi a 2.4 or 5GHz. the 10Mb/s will be divided between the amount of devices connected to the router. If you have six devices, they all will have to share the 10Mb/s bandwith, you will not get 10Mb/s per device
