Hi all,

I'm looking to increase my performance some on my current PC for the next 6 months or so until I do an entire new build. To increase performance I was looking at buying a 5850 sapphire toxic card (was wondering if anyone was looking to sell one) or something similar. Current system specs are as follows.

i7 875k
Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD4P
8GB Ripjaw 1600
750W Antec TP-750
1GB Sapphire Toxic 5850

Let me know if you have a 5850 you are looking to sell, or have a suggestion for a card around $100 to buy.

Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion.

My situation though is I just want the cheapest option that will hold me off without banging my head off the screen due to low fps for about 6 months. Around Christmas time I will be building an entire new rig, then I will be selling this current one to a friend who utilizes it for the same things I do.

I would really only like to spend around $100 and I have seen a few 5850's out there go for less than that.

I play WoW and CoD at medium setting on that resolution with very minimal fps loss... WoW runs stable at 50-60fps and CoD runs around 40 CoD.

There is the occasion on heavy graphic moments in these games where it will drop out to around 20 or below fps. This however is only on certain occasions.

I'll take buying a new GPU as one option... If I did buy a completely new GPU I would probably get a 760.

I would however as stated above like to stay away from buying towards my new build 6 months down the line. As I will want to sell this current computer to a friend at that point.

Anyone else have any options/opinions?

Ill post a complete breakdown of my system specs when I get home.
