Which side is positive or negative?

I am trying to plug in my power switch, reset switch, hdd led, power led. I can not seem to figure out which side of the connector goes into the positive or the negative. I know exactly where they are suppose to go on the motherboard. The connector is a white and some other color. On all of the connectors there is a triangle on one of the sides. The triangle is not always on the white cable side. The case I have is the cooler master haf 912. It would be great if somebody could tell me what the triangle indicates if it is positive or negative. Thank you

The color cable is always positive, and the white is negative.

On a momentary switch it really does not matter which way you hook it up.
On old lights there was no difference either. LED's are diodes (Light Emiting Diode) so if it is hooked up backwards then it will not light, but switch it around the right way and it will work agian.

I am wondering what are the trianges indicating then? because one of the connectors has the white triangle on the white cable and 2 have the triangle on the colored cable.
