You mean the FX-6300 (which is six core)? The FX 6300 is faster.

That's a really interesting question considering that there is no such CPU as the A10-6300. I am assuming you meant the AMD FX-6300 which is a SIX core Processor(built on the Vishera platform) that runs at 3.5Ghz and sells for around $120. It's definitely a faster processor than the A10-5800K. However, We need a little more info to make a good guess as to what is better for gaming for you. Please help us by answering some basic questions:

What is your Budget?

What kind of games do you play?

Are you building a new system or upgrading an existing one? If upgrading what are the specs of what you have now and what parts might you be reusing?

Do you need a new OS?

Do you have other requirements that affect the hardware you need(such as video editing, photoshop, educational use, programming CAD/CAM use)?

Do you need any peripherals (keyboard, mouse, monitor, card reader, USB devices, backup devices, external storage)?

There are a few more relevant questions but I can't think of them at the moment. That should get us started.

Well they're both quad cores, and they're very close in performance. The newer 6600 has a few newer features and a small performance increase, and it's the same price. There's no reason not to go with the 6600.

Dosnt exist? really? I guess its a mistake on the online store. Im upgrading a little and I play some new games like... Bf3, Mw3, Grid, BLACKLIGHT! I think my problem is solved though. I think Il go with a phenom II X4 and get a 7770 Gpu. More bang for my buck. THANKS GUYS!
