Article or test I'd like to see is one on ultimate reliability

Two of the tests smart militaries use for judging weapon systems are ruggedness and reliability. I would like to know what are the most components that one can put into a PC. Items that are as bulletproof as possible. If one of these pieces were to fail on a PC then that would be a big surprise. What are the most reliable pieces of hardware and what items would that PC contain?
