Hi,

I've just got a new computer with really good specs except for the graphics card and I want to play Flight Simulator X on it.

I7-3770 CPU @3.4GHz 3.9GHz
16GB of RAM
and an intel HD 4000 graphics card.

I know little about computers but I've been looking through the forums and have noticed you don't need a high end graphics card to play this game because of how old it is, I've also noticed that Nvidia has better reviews for FSX.
Can someone please tell me the best graphics card in terms of performance and value for FSX with my computer specifications.

Thanks.

OK Thanks, Just before I commit all this money, I need to make sure that my current graphics card is the reason FSX is running so slow, would it make sense that intel HD 4000 causes FSX to run slow?

Yeah, although fsx is more on the cpu intensive side. The integrated graphics that intel sports aren't meant for gaming

If you're running an third gen i7, it's pretty safe to assume that you'll have at the very least pciex16 2.0, more than likely you have 3.0 which is very much compatible. BUT the real question is whether you psu has the juice to run it. What psu make and model do you currently have?

Sorry I was looking at the boost. This list is not the max wattage of the graphics card. It's a recommendation of the minimum power for the entire system paired with the card
