Additional Memory, Speed and dual channel

Hi All

Hopefully someone can help me. I currently have 8GB of DDR3 1600 in slot 1 of 4 on my motherboard (Asus B85M-G).

Basically, I want to know whether getting another 8GB stick is worth it? Will 16GB and dual channel together make much difference?

Also, looking at CPU specs, my CPU can take a maximum memory speed of 1600 (i5-4430). Does buying a faster RAM speed (faster than 1600) make any difference - or is this memory only aimed at overclockers?

16GB can make a big diff, and dual channel will provide up to a 10-15% boost in performance

OK thanks for your help. Can you help me regarding the memory speed. Is anything over 1600mhz aimed at overclockers only? Would I gain from having RAM faster that 1600mhz if I did not overclock??

Basically with a locked CPU 1600 is the realistic best bet, could try and might be able to run 1866, but not optimally
