It looks like a good standard system build, but don't forget the PSU.
BTW, it wouldn't have been a catastrophe with the AM3+. A PCIe 3.0 card will run just fine in a PCIe 2.0 slot. In fact, for that card, the performance difference would not be noticable at all.
When you would want PCI 3.0 support is if you are running a higher end GPU, in Crossfire or SLI, with multiple monitors. At that point, you would notice a difference.

But, you have a good build above. Just don't let the PCIe 3.0 thing be the primary reason to go with the Intel platform.
