Help me find out what are those parts

1. This is your CMOS battery. CMOS controls/is part of your BIOS. It is a 3v battery and 'runs' you BIOS chip (on the mobo) when you have shut off or unplugged the power. If you have never replaced it, it might be due.
2. SouthBridge chipset. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southbridge_%28computing%29
3. NorthBridge chipset, and yours has a nice heatsink on it. They can get pretty hot. This regulates data traffic etc. to/from the CPU and and memory. Here's a decent explanation:

6. These white slots are PCI slots. Newer mobos with PCI generally don't have them in white. At first I thought they were the truly ancient ISA slots.
Here a link to your motherboard as it was listed on Newegg:

Your video card is mounted in an AGP slot (Accelerated Graphics Program).

The little cable?? Can't tell you just by the picture. What does it attache to, or where does it go.
The cable that appears to be on the blue Northbridge heat sink does NOT belong there, might what to take it out, UNLESS it is a temperature probe. Do you have a thermometer or temp panel on the computer?

And I have a question. Is the video card an ATI Radeon? If so what model? Just curious.
