New computer build with old HDD

Hi

I have just built a new gaming computer, it is built completely, and I have everything, BUT my copy of Windows 7 (should arrive next week).

However, I have an old computer which isn't too great. I have a hard drive in there running windows xp. Could I take this hard drive out and put it into my new pc to use for the time being until i can install my OEM copy of Windows 7 on my new 1tb hard drive?

Nope.
Chances are pretty likely your copy of XP just simply wont work on the new hardware. Not saying XP is incompatible with modern hardware, just that Windows installs don't like moving between machines.

If your desperate, run something like Ubuntu off a USB drive.
