Hi, I'm building a gaming system and was wondering what you would recommend as the best setup; 1*gtx780, 2*gtx770 or something completely different?

I haven't fully decided on if i should buy an 120hz monitor or if I should get an 1440p one. If i get an 120hz monitor I'll get the BenQ XL2720T. Haven't decided what 1440p monitor I'd get.

I'm building the rig in the hope that it'll last me at least a few years maxing out the newest video games.

This is my rig:
PSU: Corsair AX860 (at least if I'm going with sli)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8) 1600MHz
MB: Asus Maximus 6 Hero (DDR3 1600MHZ)
CPU: Intel I5-4670K (planning on overclocking to 4,2-4,5 GHz)
Storage: 1x Seagate Barracuda 1TB, 1x Samsung 840 series 120GB SSD
Case: Corsair Obsidian 550D
OS: Windows 8 64bit

2x780 is a little out of my price league :p
From what i understand I would get more fps on the 2 gtx770, than 1 gtx780, but I would only benefit so much on either 120 or 60 hz monitors (I would never get more fps than the monitor is set up for).
So if I go for an IPS monitor, what would be the best way to max out the game (i.e. BF4, crysis 3...), get the most fps and let the game run as smoothly as possible? 2 gtx770's or 1 gtx780?

for 3 monitors you will need 2x GTX 770 4G GDDR (not 2)

same for 2560x1440 monitors ..

there are IPS with 144 hz monitors btw ..

but I would say get 1440p

you can check Eizo Foris 2333 as well

see ya

Thanks for the feedback :)
I've come to the conclusion of buying 2 gtx770's and going with an Asus vg248qe monitor (possibly adding 2 more in the future) :)

Thank you all for your help it means alot to me :)
