most likely im going with a 760 sli setup.
however I want to run triple monitors
x2 24 inch monitors 60 hertz
and 1 27 inch 120 hertz monitor

like this I guess...
[24 inch ] [27 inch ] [24 inch ]
I knew there was a issue with running surround in sli still an issue or do I need all the same monitors and refresh rates ?

I'm pretty sure all the monitors still need to share a common resolution and refresh rate to run in surround.

I wasn't planning on running surround gaming... which is way I have a bigger main monitor

would a gtx 770 4gb be better for this setup ?

If you're not planning on Surround gaming then there is no reason not to go with the 770 that I can see.

You should be able to run all three monitors at the same time and with different resolutions but I don't know whether you can run different refresh rates.

I have an MSI GTX 760 2GB and I'm running 3 different monitors with no issues, and all of them have different resolutions. Though that 120hz refresh rate might be a variable that might affect your results, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
