Will this motherboard work with my 2 year old cpu?

I know how to tell if it's right or not, I'm just double checking. So I have a Dell 4gjjt motherboard, and its not the greatest as in features. I bought an ssd and my motherboard only has Sata 2, and I would like to have sata 3. So I didn't want to buy a brand new cpu for my computer, sense my cpu is fine right now, so I think I found one that fits

Probably down the road I will upgrade to a new cpu with the chipset, I just want it to have it for now

Yes, it will work. All AM3 processors will work in an AM3 or AM3+ socket motherboard.
