It'll need a decent OC, but AMD cpus are frame bound, you want a good CPU? save some money and get either the i5 3570K or the i5 4670K, it's much better than an fx8350

Yes, its also the best out of the 3 you mentioned. But if you don't buy a video card now, a fx6300 won't work since it doesn't have a iGPU!

For GPUs: depends on your local prices, but for the raw power: hd7850/gtx 650 ti boost < gtx 660 < HD 7870 < gtx 660 ti < gtx 760/hd7950

If you really need to play a month without a GPU the a10 is the only option since the fx6300 doesn't have a iGPU and the i3's is reaaally bad for gaming. But with the a10 I wouldn't go higher than a gtx660/ HD 7870 since you'll be likely CPU bottlenecked otherwise.

If you want to game without a dedicated GPU then the A10 is the only option as neither the graphics integrated into the 6300 boards (only some have any) or the integrated graphics in the i3 can handle it. Could you get a FX6300 & a Radeon 6670 as a stop gap and sell it later on Ebay?

i would say get the A10, it is a pretty decent CPU the FX is better, but the A10 it has a good on board GPU so you can game at low and mid settings. but after you get the gpu the A10 graphics would be useless sorry to say.

another option is to get the fx and buy a really cheap gpu like the guy said above haha

Barely, it's weak, when gaming, i5 is the minimum, and since it isn't an unlocked CPU, it'll be hard to OC.

both can handle the cards but the i3 poses a bigger bottleneck then the fx, even tough it has a much better upgrade path. because later on if you wanted you could get an i5 or i7 rather then the fx tops at the fx8350 which is good but an i5 4670k is better

you should open up a new thread for your self under components. I completely believe some one will be more then happy to help you there ^_^

For reference:

I have a Phenom II x6 1090t @ 4.0GHz on a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 board.

It's a 6 core, but not identical to your FX6300, and some say the Phenom II's are a little bit faster than the new FX cores. But I can tell you from personal experience it does not bottleneck me at all.

I can run Crysis 3 MAXED @ 1080p with 2 x HD 7950s in Crossfire @ 1100/1500 and it stays in the 45-60 FPS range, noticeably higher if I turn VSync off but hey, Crysis makes my PC run hot enough already. XD

CPU sees 60-90% usage across all 6 cores, mostly in the 80% range now, and GPUs are both in the 75-99% range now.

If I go down to 1 GPU I get maybe 28-50 FPS. So the bottleneck, if you want to call it that, is the GPU and not the CPU.

Hope that helps allay your concerns about the FX 6300. ;)
