I am looking to update the motherboard in my Dell Inspiron 530. I can only spend a max of $150. I had seen on another page on Tom's Hardware that I could swap it with a G43 board or a P45 board. I was looking for a P45 board so that I could use my video card.

This is the P45 board that I was looking at:

The only concerns that I had were;
1) Will the USB, Video, and expansion ports line up.
2) Will my power supply be able to handle it.
3) Will the plugs for hard drives, fans, etc. fit on the board?
4) Will the screws line up.

Thank you for your response... I will find it very helpful...

The board you list happens to have P45 in its model name however it is an Intel B75 chipset motherboard. A new processor for it would cost you more.

I would recommend you buy a bare PC case for your system.
