Motherboard powers up but no signal to display or power to keyboard

Hi, so I recently just used an old motherboard to make a new computer. Everything was set up fine, it booted, but then for some reason there was no display to the monitor and no power to the keyboard. I tried a CMOS battery reset, and wah-la, the keyboard powered up and the monitor worked. I installed the OS, but then all of a sudden the computer turned off and no matter how many times I reset the CMOS battery or reseat the RAM, it just doesn't work. Please help
(I don't know if this is relevant, but I don't have to press the power button at all for some reason, when i plug the power cord into the PSU, the computer just powers on)

Hi, It might be a power supply issue. Try borrowing one for testing.
