i hav compaq presario cq3120ix and want to upgrade my graphics card please tell me which should i buy and does need external power suply or not and how.

180W PSU will need to be exchange for something around 500W to 600W if you're going to use a modern single card solution to take advantage of 20%-80% efficiency sweetspot. If you don't want to upgrade the PSU, you could use something low-power like the 7750 which requires something around 55 or 60W load. Upgrading to a reputable psu of at least 200W is best. I don't trust HP PSU from factory.

EDIT: Bottleneck. There won't be or if anything minimal. I have another system with the same processor paired with a 7790.
